Duo and Marilyn
Andrew and I pretty much accommodate any and all requests by folks that are looking to hire us. We have no shame, it’s true. Want a bigger band than just the two of us? We can bring a four-piece, no problem-o…
Want a special song played? Give us a couple days’ notice, and we will be ready.
Need Marilyn Monroe to show up? Yup. We’ve got that covered too.
I’ve been playing Marilyn Monroe here there and everywhere since college. It all began back-in-the-day when I was interning at the Pittsburgh Film Office and they needed a Marilyn Look Alike for their film office party.
We’ve played at this place called The Grandview Tavern in Lake Milton a few times. Actually, the Grandview will forever be in my heart because they were our first gig as a duo since we formed. How’s that for a little trivia? Anyway, Mike, the owner says he wants a little somethin’ more. “Bring Marilyn” he requests.
And who am I to turn him down?

For all the pics of that night, check out The Grandview’s website! Thanks to everyone who hung out, we had a gooooood time!

Playing out and about
I’m going through pics of gigs, and found some shots of us playing at the Northside Bar and Grill. Check them out:
I gotta start bringing my vid cam to gigs. Moreso just to torture Andrew, then put it online for the world to see.

Happy Birthday Andrew!
Happy Birthday!!!!
Trivisonno Benefit
Andrew has been playing in an additional band by the name “Chance” for about 4 years now. You may or may not know it: Andrew’s a super-talented drummer as well, having played with some big names. The boy just has some crazy musical skills.
Anywhoo, The Ireland Cancer Center and Mike Trivisonno from WTAM Cleveland hold an annual fundraiser at the Holiday Inn Twinsburg. Another tidbit you may or may not know is that I’ve been asked to sing for Chance too, which is super-exciting for me to sing with a 9 piece band. Check out our calendar, we’ll have public shows too, not just weddings with the band. The benefit was a success, raising tons of dough for the cause, and it was just a good ole time all around. Here’s some pics:
Congrats to Mike Trivisonno for another successful fundraiser! Cheers!
He’s gonna kill me.
So, we’re taking a break. “Do you want to go get an ice cream?” I am asked. “Sure” I reply.
But then he walked out the door in THIS outfit:
Yes, that is a blue tank top sporting a very fine “studio tan”.
I pretend that I don’t know him:
He keeps talking to me until he gets his ice cream.
Folks, this outfit is not okay. If you are hangin’ at home, and no one can see you: okay fine: but not out in public.
I just don’t know him:
Maybe this will teach you a lesson, Mister Andrew. Mwa ha haaaa.
Priorities, Priorities
So we uploaded this website, what?, a year ago?
And I have yet to blog. Andrew hasn’t blogged either. It’s funny how when you have so much to say, you sign in to blab on about whatever is on your mind and you just simply freeze up.
Maybe Andrew and I can use that excuse as to why we have let this site sit, completely uninteresting, with nothing more but a mere tease about how this blog is all about the lives of musicians just trying to make it by every day.
Well, we’ve been busy, how’s that? With everything underway, we’ve been making demos, gigging out, writing songs, and well….uhm…just slacking in the world of blog.
yeah yeah yeah, don’t judge. But we did add a brand spankin new list of demo tunes for you to check out on Reverbnation: http://www.reverbnation.com/brookelynn
Yeah! Okay, I am out.

Murder Mystery Anyone?
So, I know this is a little bit off from talking about duo stuff, but hey it’s a blog and this direction is only of my own.
Don’t judge.
As a performer through and through, I have been doing some murder mystery shows lately for the very awesome Floriano Productions, which is a super duper cool murder mystery troupe based out of Cleveland, OH. However, we travel every and anywhere to put on a show. In fact this month, we hit up South Carolina, Virginia, and North Carolina to show up, murder a guest, and then act out a show to figure out who done it. Totally fun stuff I must say, and a lot of improv acting to boot: when you mix an audience in, you just never know what you’re gonna get.
The best part? I play the slinky and sultry “Sherry LaFontaine”. Who doesn’t like playing the girl that steals everyone’s husband on Mysteria Lane? heheh. It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it.
And so it begins
Here we are.
And here is our blog.
We hope you dig the excerpts of our lives. The lives of a couple starving artists.
Actually, this blog might actually inspire you stay in school kids. Become a doctor. A lawyer. A data entry specialist. Keep reading and you’ll see why. Cheers.
